How To Prevent Nail Wrap Shrinkage

How To Prevent Nail Wrap Shrinkage - Personail

Here are a few tips to help avoid nail wrap shrinkage

1. No Quick Dry Top Coat:
Do not use any quick dry formula top coats. They are notorious for being the main culprit of shrinking wraps.  This is crucial as it’s the key factor in how long your wraps will last on your nails. We highly recommend Personail's Top Coat as it is formulated to be used with our wraps.  If you must use other brands, test on one nail first before applying on the rest.

2. Do not overstretch
Make sure you are not stretching your nail wraps during application as it may retract back once it settles on the nails

3. File at a 90 degree angle:
File your nail wraps at a 90 degree angle, as it will give a clean, crisp cut. If filing at any angle below that it may cut off the design on the tips.

4. Apply Heat
Applying gentle heat to the nail wraps can enhance their adherence and reduce the risk of shrinkage. After applying the wraps, you can use a hairdryer on a low heat setting or a heat lamp to warm your nails for a few seconds. Be cautious not to overheat them, as excessive heat may damage the wraps.

By following these tips, you can enjoy beautiful and long-lasting nail wraps without the frustration of shrinkage. Proper preparation, application, and maintenance will ensure that your nail wraps stay intact and vibrant for an extended period. Remember, patience and attention to detail are key to achieving flawless nail wrap application every time.
